Big News:
DMV has just rolled out online snowmobile registration for out-of-state registrants only. This is a test, so that eventually all sleds may be registered online! (NOT YET -- some day). This info is from the NYS DMV website: NYS Registration for Out-of-State Snowmobile: For non-residents of NYS with snowmobiles registered in their home states to apply for a NYS snowmobile registration which is required to operate the snowmobile in NYS. A temporary NYS registration is issued at the end of the transaction for immediate operation of the snowmobile in NYS. The transaction is not available to NYS residents.
